Since then the company has handled events ranging from New Zealand’s 1st BIG FAT Indian Wedding to glamorous galas to private and intimate and very large weddings to numerous BOLLYWOOD events.
The team consists of talented designers, consultants, florists and production specialists with years of experiences in the industry. Working hand in hand with service provider partners, the team strives to share the dreams of their clients and transform them into a picture perfect reality. It was Soni’s overwhelming passion for all things ‘Wedding’, her wide experience in event planning, coupled with a passion for business and romance (in equal measures!), which led her to create her own bespoke wedding and event planning company.
Her vast local knowledge in Auckland, experience in dealing with the top suppliers and businesses situated here, teamed with her eye for detail and calm demeanor, and of course the fact that she speaks Hindi, made her the perfect person to create the ‘Indian Wedding Company’.
Soni has over 30 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations & Events Planning, which has provided her with an excellent business insight and acumen. Soni is known as Mandap Queen Expert and is the chosen Wedding Planner for many hotels and wedding suppliers in Auckland.
I have 14 years of experience in this business, and during that time I’ve grown many strong relationships and friendships with so many wonderful vendors, and it has truly been my genuine joy to work side-by-side with couples and their families during their most memorable occasions.

I saw a niche market for a specialized wedding design and consultancy service, which would offer outstanding customer service and attention to detail without breaking the bank. This alongside my absolute love of weddings and organizing led me to create my business.
